Duck Hunts
During a typical week of duck hunting in Saskatchewan opportunities for ducks include Mallards, Bluebills, Ringnecks, Widgeons, Gadwals, Pintails, Shoveller, Greenwing and Bluewing Teals, Canvasbacks, Redheads, Goldeneyes and Bufflehead. What our duck hunters continually comment on is the variety of both species and habitat. 90% of our ducks are taken over water. We use portable blinds for our pond shoots and 18 foot War Eagle Boats for the open water. Most groups on a 4 day trip will take 10 to 11 different species. Grouse hunting is also available after the September 15 opener. Generally on a 5 day trip we will spend an afternoon chasing ruffies and spruce grouse in the forest.

Goose Hunts
To switch things up, we also have the option to include some great goose hunting. Greater and Lesser Canadas, Speckle-Bellies and Snows, with the greater Canadas making up about 80% of the harvest. Most all our goose hunts take place in the farmland using both layout and willow blinds and bigfoot and shell decoys. The Specks and Snows generally do not show up until mid-September. All goose hunting is in the morning and we get between 1 and 3 goose shoots per 4 day trip.

Black Bear and Waterfowl Combination Hunts
Our Black Bear and Waterfowl Hunts are also very popular during late September and early October. The waterfowl hunting is phenomenal and the bears are very large as they are preparing for the long winter.
